Level 3 is for those students who have spoken and studied the language for some time, typically someone with a grasp of 'intermediate' level French (good GCSE, O level). It is primarily for those who love the French language, and want to learn more language skills. There are opportunities to study and research your own favourite areas, and to look at extracts from French literature in depth, as well as to hone up more practical skills such as writing and interpreting. There are 2 options, distance-learning or one-to-one.
The Module is divided into 4 lessons. For the price of the module, students are given the 4 lessons, each 30-40 pages of written material (via email for distance-learners), plus vocabulary and answers. Students are offered 8 x 30 minute telephone oral tutorials (2 for each lesson). The first oral session is a practice session, the second an assessment. The oral situations are designed to practice interpreting skills. You can opt to do the 4 written assessments, and a small extra charge will be made for marking these.
